THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON HIGH SPEED LINES
Italferr has conducted a series of studies on HS lines (field measurements, wind tunnel tests, three-dimensional numerical modelling) in the field of fluid-dynamic excitation and the response of structures alongside the track to the passage of the train, which have made it possible to identify the existence of a strong dynamic barrier/trainset interaction that must be considered in the design phase.
In addition, such studies make it possible to investigate the aerodynamic effects in tunnels (doors, equipment, signage, etc.), in underground stations (safety and comfort for passengers present on the platform), and on the train in high-wind areas.
