Italferr has developed a Method to determine the carbon footprint of a railway infrastructure measuring,  in compliance with standard ISO 14064-1, the emission of greenhouse gases when executing the works. The method has been applied to various projects and, coherently with the provisions of UNI ISO 14064-1, the results of the calculations made were formalised in the ‘Summary Report’. This application has allowed the Company to acquire a competitive edge through the creation of innovative market areas that guarantee new opportunities for growth by offering additional products and services regarding the client and the collectivity.
