Italferr, agreement with ANSFISA for the safety of Italian infrastructure

In Rome, the presentation of the agency's annual report

On March 27, ISTAT's Rome headquarters hosted a conference titled "Safety Evolves" during which ANSFISA, the Italian Agency for Safety of Railways and Road and Highway Infrastructure, presented its annual report on its 2024 activities.

Central to this was the role played by Italferr’s CEO Dario Lo Bosco, who announced a memorandum of understanding, signed in recent days precisely with ANSFISA, in order to improve Italy's infrastructure from a safety perspective thanks to the technical and technological expertise of the FS Group.

"Italferr represents the pride of Italian railway engineering and with this agreement we are making our expertise available, for the safety of bridges and railway infrastructure," Lo Bosco highlighted in his speech. "We are working a lot in the field of predictive diagnostics to improve the quality and safety of works and their perception. This also has an important effect in the field of safety and security in the workplace, working toward the great goal of zero accidents."

In 2024, ANSFISA, as explained in its annual report, inspected 800 works and more than 3 thousand kilometers of road network. In the railway field, one thousand trains were checked and more than 18 thousand kilometers of lines were inspected, with 117 inspection activities on 34 railway companies.

With the collaboration formalized during the event, ANSFISA and Italferr now aim to further support and improve the safety level of the peninsula's infrastructure.
