On Friday, September 6, the “India-Mediterranean Business Conclave” organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was held in Delhi.
Strong participation of managers from Italian and Indian companies, representatives of institutions and delegates from many countries in the Mediterranean region.
Present for Italferr, the Engineering Company of the FS Group, was the Area Manager for Asia Pacific and the TID Spoke & Digital Rail Infrastructure Development Department, both called to speak at two important panels “Digitalization: Cooperating towards an era of Digital Transformation” and "Indian Mediterranean Corridor: A Paradigm Shift in Strategic Connectivity to Europe," to illustrate the new digitization processes in the transport engineering sector, within a context of global growth, confirming the Company's commitment to the development of the new India-Europe corridor and its active presence in the country where, since 2010, it has been at the forefront of several strategic projects.
In addition to designing India's first railroad cable-stayed bridge, the Anji Khad, spanning the Anji River in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, and providing design and general consulting services for the new Rishikesh-Karanprayang railway line, with the Himalayan Tunnel, in Uttarakhand, in the north of the country, Italferr has also established its standing in the Mass Transit sector with the awarding of contracts related to the construction of the two Line 2 and Line 7 metro lines in Mumbai inaugurated in January 2023. Moreover, the FS Group’s company is offering Project Management Consultancy services for the metro lines in Kanpur and Agra, two of the largest industrial cities in northern India.
