Italferr present at RemTech Expo 2024

The Environmental Technology Hub, specializing in the issues of remediation, regeneration and sustainable development of territories

Italferr, the engineering company of the FS Group, was in the front row at the Ferrara International Fair “RemTech Expo”. The specialists in environmental disciplines were an active part of the discussion tables and conferences held in the presence and with the participation of experts and institutions, on September 18-20, 2024.

As in 2023, with its own dedicated space within the Isola OICE area, Italferr was called upon to tell about new approaches in the management of environmental issues as well as about the initiatives being developed in an increasingly complex context where sustainability is now a daily gesture and the new challenges increasingly ambitious.

Within this context, once again for the 2024 edition Italferr has been invited to participate in Remtech Inertia, a permanent international event on the subject of Excavated Soils and Rocks, Remediation of Contaminated Sites and Protection and Sustainable Development on the territory, in which Italferr has been involved for years through the Scientific Committee, reporting in important working groups such as “Soils and Railways: objectives and goals of the new regulatory path” and the “Excavated Soils and Rocks with Bentonite: sustainable management of non-renewable natural resources”.

There were several discussion meetings on “Soil and subsoil remediation technologies” and “Sustainable remediation,” one of them being the paper on “Environmental regulatory enforcement in railways” in the Industry and Environment Conference.

Italferr also participated with a speech in the prestigious OICE Ambiente conference titled “The Challenges of Environmental Sustainability after the NRRP and Towards the Green Deal”, once again putting sustainable design in the foreground for the realization of infrastructure increasingly in harmony with the territory and becoming a protagonist in a process of transformation towards the green deal.
