From November 26 to 29, the 7th edition of the International Conference on Transportation Electrification and Electrical Systems for Aircraft, Railways, Ships, and Road Vehicles was held at the Conference Center of the University of Naples Federico II.
Such a unique opportunity saw the participation of Italferr experts alongside the most important global players in transportation and research. Among the most appreciated presentations was that of Mr. Guido Guidi Buffarini, Head of Technologies at the Design Directorate at Italferr, who addressed the delicate topic of decarbonization with a focused discussion on "Technological Innovation in Railway Installations."
Additionally, the conference provided a chance to present the highly technical and scientific article "Optimal Sizing of a Wayside PV System for DC Rail Transit Systems," co-authored by colleagues from the Energy and Electric Traction structure, Emanuele Rullo, Carones Nicola, and Marco Laurini.
Once again, Italferr Italian engineering stood out as a key player in technological innovation in the railway sector and in accelerating the transition towards a greener and more sustainable transportation system. Every change is a step towards a low-emission future, where major projects are accompanied by the value, competence, and professionalism of the people involved.
