The study conference "Preventive Archaeology: theories, methods and experiences", held in Soriano nel Cimino on 18 and 19 October, within the activities of the II level master's degree in "Preventive Archeology and management of archaeological risk" was successfully concluded. ". The event, organized in collaboration with the University of Tuscia, the General Directorate of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, the General Directorate of Museums, the Central Institute for Archaeology, Italferr, Archeoimprese and the ABAP Superintendency for the province of Viterbo and Southern Etruria saw the participation of experts, scholars and professionals in the sector to discuss methodologies, innovations and case studies related to preventive archaeology.
Italferr played an important role, speaking in various sessions through its representatives of the Archeology Operational Structure. The results of important archaeological investigations, conducted in the context of large infrastructure projects, were shared, with a particular focus on the use of cutting-edge technologies, such as remote sensing and proximal sensing, applied to the Preventive Verification of Archaeological Interest.
