HIGH SPEED FOLLO LINE PROJECT

The Norwegian National Rail Administration (Jernbaneverket) - the Norwegian government agency for the management of rail services - awarded the Follo Line EPC TBM Contract for design, procurement and subsequent construction in 2015 to "Acciona Ghella Joint Venture" (AGJV).

In this context, AGJV has entrusted Italferr, in a joint venture with Lombardi SA (Switzerland), with the task of independent verification of the Follo Line execution project, a new double-track railway line between Oslo and Sky, with speeds of 250 km/h, starting from the Norwegian capital's Central Station.

It will be the longest possible underground journey in Scandinavia: twenty-two kilometers of double-tunnel, for a total of 64 kilometers of new tracks that will free the southeastern outskirts of Oslo from traffic and enhance public mobility in small towns around the capital.

The work has been completed.
