HRVATSKI LESKOVAC-KARLOVAC RAILWAY LINE

Italferr once again scores a major success in the Balkans.

Italferr, head of the grouping formed together with Technital and IRD Engineering, was awarded by the Croatian Railways Infrastructure Ltd. (HŽ Infrastruktura d.o.o.) the approximately 60 km long Corridor Vb (Rijeka-Zagreb-Budapest) project. The contract was 85 percent funded by the European Union through IPA pre-accession funds and 15 percent by the national budget.

The services lasted for three years and, in detail, included the preparation of the final design and executive design for the doubling of the section between the stations of Hrvatski Leskovac and Karlovac (about 45 km).

The services also included the environmental impact study, transportation study and cost-benefit analysis of the planned interventions. The project will terminate with the preparation of the specifications of the works and the application to the European Commission for financing.
