FAST LINK BETWEEN ESENBOGA AND ANKARA

Italferr has been awarded the design of the new fast rail link between Esenboga International Airport and the city of Ankara. The contract was signed in the Turkish capital, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport, a body that together with the country's other governmental authorities strongly supported the project, including it within the infrastructure modernisation and development plan not only of the capital but of Turkey as a whole. In addition to the Turkish Ministry of Transport, the municipality of Ankara was also involved as part of an overall reorganisation of the urban transport system.

Italferr's assignment included the feasibility study and the preliminary and final design of the rail link between the two cities that progresses underground for about 27 km with 8 intermediate stations intended to serve one of the city's most important urban development axes.
