Italferr is involved in the construction of the new Naples-Bari High Capacity line, a strategic work envisaged by the 'Sblocca Italia' Decree Law, financed with NRRP funds and an integral part of Core Corridor No. 5 "Scandinavian-Mediterranean (Helsinki-La Valletta)".

Construction of a variant to the existing Naples-Cancello line for a total length of 15.5 km passing through the new Napoli Afragola HS station. |
Doubling and speeding up of the historic line between Cancello and Frasso Telesino and Frasso Telesino-Vitulano for a length of about 46 km. 25 level crossings will also be eliminated. |
Variant doubling of a stretch about 47 km long of the Apice-Orsara section of the line, 80% of which will be in tunnels, with construction of the new Hirpinia station. |

In addition to the work on the railway lines, there are also plans to upgrade the stations in Naples and Bari, involving the adoption of the latest traffic management technologies: Central Computerised Interlocking (ACC) and Central Computerised Multistation Interlocking (ACCM).
