On 20 December, at Rome's Hotel Ergife, "Meeting Italferr 2023" reached its last leg. The trip began last October in Naples, where Italferr's Chief Executive Officer and Director of Human Resources and Organisation met more than two thousand colleagues from all over Italy.
This provided a unique occasion to deal with and share results achieved and future goals, highlighting the synergy within the Infrastructures Centre between Italferr and the other Companies there - RFI, ANAS, and Ferrovie del Sud Est - and the shared vision aimed at overcoming current infrastructural challenges.
Also present were Italferr's Chairperson, the Board of Directors, the Entire Management Committee, and the Sole Director of the Subsidiary, IES d.o.o.
The day was full Italferr input and testimonies.
To open the works, the Chairperson, Paola Firmi, took to the stage and stressed how 2023 had been a year of transition and great changes "...what we need more than ever now, it to team build, to form a system. We need to integrate with one another, work synergically. I believe that this is essential for dealing with the challenges that await us. We are aware that Italferr can play a strategic guiding role, overseeing the process of implementing the PNRR [National Recovery and Resilience Plan]".
After him the Chief Executive Officer, Andrea Nardinocchi, addressed the meeting: reorganisation, digitalisation, diversification - these are the distinctive traits of Italferr's way! "There must be no barriers nor fences, but competence, effort and pulling together to improve our capacities. A change of mindset and digitalisation are the bases on which we are building the future: at this time of change, Italferr is called upon not only to deal with transformations, but also to set the pace, taking advantage of the opportunities that they offer."
This was followed by the input from the Human Resources and Organisation Director, Giovanni Rotella: "It is written as professional excellence, but reads Italferr" we need to "...valorise the uniqueness of our skills, support professional growth, reinforce synergies and establish strong ties".
Then it was the turn of Director, Franco Fenoglio: "... Italferr is in the midst of an extraordinary opportunity, as an innovative, digital, and sustainable Company able to generate shared value", highlighting the importance of change.
After a Q&A session, the stage was given over to "Success Experiences".
Foreign lands led the way with stimulating international testimonies given by our Indian colleagues themselves, concerning the "Delhi - Ghazibad - Meerut Regional Rapid Transit (RRTS) corridor" project, and Serbian representatives of IES d.o.o. on the "Niš - Brestovac" project.
This session was concluded with passion and creativity by colleagues from the TID Spoke & Digital Rail Infrastructure Development Division, who won over the audience, recounting their experience on the "Digital Twin for monitoring infrastructures - New areas of business" and "On the way to Neom" projects.
"We are facing epochal transformation that calls for a change in mindset, the capacity to strengthen ties, promote team work, centring on sharing, in order to actualise the future together"... these were the closing words of the CEO, along with a "thank you to the entire Italferr team".
